You need an especially high temperature? SiC can be used up to
1400 °C (2550 °F). The shown temperature has been a real measurment at one of our igniters.

The distinctive feature of this gasburner application is, that the igniter is exposed to a rather high air flow surrounding being fixed and close to the flame of the burner.

Problems with condensed water? This mateial does not take up water and can be heated up even with water adhering to the surface.

You face a strong reducing atmosphere? SiC-based igniters show long time durability against such a condition.
